Hello Friends and Neighbors,

Thank you for visiting my website! Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I was born in Montgomery, Alabama to Dr. Emmett and Allison Dennis as their second daughter. My father was in dental school at the time and after graduating, we all moved down to L.A. – lower Alabama of course, to the city of Ozark, which is where I grew up.

I absolutely love the South. My most precious memories of growing up in Ozark consist of cooking and baking with my Grandmother and of playing through all hours of the night in the hot, humid climate of peanut country. I remember riding bare horseback on my Great Grandfather’s farm in a place called Slapout. Me and my friend would pack a bologna sandwich on white bread, a bottle of Coca-Cola and stay out all day, riding everywhere and in between. Eventually I grew up and went to Troy State University and then to the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in Birmingham and graduated as a D.M.D – Doctor of Medical Dentistry in 1978. After graduating, I did a one-year residency at the VA hospital and then started my practice in Warrior – in the same location where I practice today.

Over the years I became intensely interested in cosmetic dentistry, which is the practice of creating beautiful smiles, and took many hours of continuing education courses in it. It truly gives me great pleasure when a patient gets to see their new smile in a mirror after completing treatment. Most of them are very, very happy. Although I treat patients for all aspects of general dentistry, the cosmetic procedures are what I enjoy the most.

On a personal note, I have been happily married for 16 years to my husband Jyrki, who is from Finland. He still is not used to the way I talk – he had only heard what he thought was a true Southern accent in Western movies before. Jyrki has his own marketing company with clients all over the U.S. and travels a lot. Together we have a teenage son Markus, who is the light of our lives. Markus is a Boy Scout and likes to play guitar and play football. We also have 8 pets: 3 dogs and 5 cats.

Please come see me at my office. I would like to meet you! I enjoy a conversation with my patients, sometimes so much that my employees get impatient. But I love my patients and I love what I do!
